catalysed epoxy acrylic. The topcoat started to breakdown after 10 years due to the condensation and the chemicals used in the water filtration process. Sydney Water elected to use Carboguard 690 as the need for the epoxy acrylic was not required. Carboguard 690 was tinted to G13 Jade and is holding up well with some slight loss of gloss where condensation has formed on the tops of the gallery pipes. Our next stage will be to tackle the concrete surfaces that are starting to degrade.
